One of the Malawi’s celebrated hip-pop artists Tay Grin is set to release his latest single titled ‘Chipapapa’ next week in which he features Nigerian singer 2Face.
The development comes following a fruitful meeting the two had in London last year where Tay Grin introduced the idea to 2Face.
According to ‘Nyau King’, real name Limbani Kalilani, the song will be released on Monday next week and the song has been produced by Lilongwe based DJ Sley.
Speaking in an interview with the Press, Tay Grin said he has always wanted to work with 2Face, saying Chipapapa song is “perfect for both of us.”
The hip-hop star added that the song has been produced in two different studios in Malawi and Nigeria but mastered by local hands.
The video for the song will be shot next month in South Africa and it promises to be a great visual, revealed Kalialani.
In 2014, Tay Grin was honoured by BEFFTA with an award for best international African act at the Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts awards in London.
