A 65-year old man is in Police custody in Machinga for allegedly defiling two girls on several occasions and gave them MK50 to share as a reward each time of the sexual acts.
Machinga Police spokesperson Davie Sulumba confirmed of the development in an interview with the press and identified the suspect as Gringo Binda.
According to information at hand, mother saw the girls with a K50.00 which the girls said they received it from Binda but could not clearly explain why they deserved the cash.
The mother took the girls to the suspect who admitted to know the girls but was not clear why he gave them the cash until the two girls revealed that Binda has been giving the K50.00s each time he defiles them, according to Constable Sulumba.
The police arrested the suspect after member of Community Policing at Mposa apprehended.
Binda will appear in court soon to answer defilement contrary to Section 138 of the Penal Code.
Binda hails from Musheka Village, Traditional Authority Chikowi in Zomba.
