MAN ARRESTED FOR ABDUCTING, DEFILING A FORM TWO GIRL IN KASUNGU

Police in Kasunga are keeping in custody a man for allegedly abducting and defiling a 17-year old girl from Nkhota Community Day Secondary School.

The girl (name withheld), is in form two at the school and she met her fate on Sunday when she was returning to prep in redness for her Junior Certificate of Examination (JCE) Examinations.

Both Kasungu Police spokesperson Edina Mzingwitsa and the schools Deputy Headmaster Winnerson Chaomba confirmed of the development in separate interviews with one of the privately owned radio [Zodiak Broadcasting Station].

Chaomba said the suspect identified as Chikwamawa Mwambo hosted the girl without her concert at unknown place for close to five hours.

He said during this time the suspect was defiling the girl.

Mzingwitsa said the suspect will appear in court soon to answer abduction and defilement charges.

Mwambo hails from Nkhota Village in the district.
