PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER ARRESTED FOR DEFILING A 15 YEAR OLD GIRL

A 44 year old school teacher from Luchenza Primary School is in police custody after being arrested on allegation of defiling and impregnating a 15 year old orphan.

Police Public Relations Officer, Edith Kachotsa told the Malawi News Agency (Mana) that Maxwell Donsa was arrested on February 22, 2016.

Kachotsa said Donsa was living with the girl who came to seek refuge from her aunt who happens to be Donsa’s wife.

The allegations that Donsa has been sexually abusing the girl stem back from August, 2015.

It is reported that Donsa has been apparently forcing the girl into bed with him by intimidating her that she will be chased away to her home village.

Kachotsa explained; “The allegations have been unraveled following the girl’s visit to her home village where relatives suspected that she was pregnant.

“Upon pressing her, she revealed that she was indeed pregnant and that her guardian Donsa was responsible for her condition.”

Donsa is currently at Luchenza Police station waiting to appear in court soon to answer the charge of defilement.

He comes from Ndeguma Village, Traditional Authority Malemia in Zomba district.
