GLORIA BANDA FINALLY FIRED FROM MBC

Veteran Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) broadcaster Gloria Banda has been fired from the taxpayers’ media house for allegedly misconduct affective March 22 2016.

The firing comes barely 22 days for being suspended from her positions as Director of Outside Broadcasting for exposing evil acts by MBC Director General, Aubrey Sumbuleta, saying that he was harassing female workers at the station.

Banda in the anonymous emails also accused the President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika hiring Sumbuleta allegedly simply because both are Lhomwe instead of giving the top job at MBC to her husband Albert Mungomo commonly known as “Mr Madonzero.” Or “Mr Blantyre.”

During a disciplinary hearing held on Tuesday MBC’s disciplinary committee panel resolved to fire Banda after finding her “guilty”of being the mastermind of anonymous letters that have been circulating at the corporation castigating MBC’s Director General Aubrey Sumbuleta and other staff at the corporation.

According to the source, Banda was caught with pants down at the meeting when every secretive emails were tendered as evidence.

Instead of defending herself, Banda become angry and started shouting at panelist.

‘‘She admitted that the email address which was being used to send the anonymous letters uses her name. But instead on denying or accepting the contents of the emails, she just kept asking mwazipeza bwanji zimenezi, wakupatsani ndani?’’

Gloria Banda is also a Lhomwe from Mulanje.
