Police in the capital Lilongwe have arrested 15 people over the alleged fight that erupted among Catholic Christians at Likuni Parish on Sunday.
Lilongwe police spokesman Kingsley Dandaula confirmed the arrest of the 15 in an interview with the press.
According to the source, some church members were not happy with the conduct Father Ted Kaulesi at the church and they were advocating for his transfers but the call did not yield any results.
The source said the church members on Sunday gang up to disrupt the service as Father Kalulesi was about to enter the church.
The development resulted to a fracas and Police were called in to calm the situation which was going out of hand.
The suspects have been charged with conduct likely to cause breach of peace and they will be appearing in court on Monday.
