Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) has with immediate effect suspended operations of Krazy Foods situated at Ginnery Corner and People’s Blantyre Metro Shop catering and bakery services.
The development comes barely days after MBS suspended operations of Lingadzi Inn, Capital City Motel and Seven Eleven bakery situated in Kilipula building in Lilongwe.
According to the statement signed by Develin Chokazinga, the two business premises have been closed due to due to continuous non compliance to hygienic conditions as stipulated in Malawi Standard Number 21; Food And Food Processing Units – Code Of Hygienic Conditions.
“The MBS wishes to advise the general public against patronizing these two places until the hygienic conditions have been improved and the suspension lifted by the MBS,” reads the statement in part.
Of late, MBS has been on rampage closing various business entities due to lack of hygiene and Chibuku Products Limited (CPL) Lilongwe plant being the first to be closed.
