Man shot dead by Police at ADMARC deport in Nsanje

As Malawians in some parts of the country continue to spend a sleepless night in search for Maize, reports reaching FaceofMalawi indicates Police have shot dead an identified man at Mbenje ADMARC deports in Nsanje.

According to an eyewitness, the Police officer was trying to control the crowd fighting for place upfront to purchase the commodity after it was leant that the Maize was not enough for all people present at the deport.

He said in the process the Police officer accidentally fired live bullets at the victim and he died on the sport.

The development resulted to running battles between the Police and the angry villagers at the deport, forcing ADMARC officials to suspend the market.

Meanwhile the tension is still high at the deport.
