PP squabbles update: Synod fails to bring peace in the Party

Information sourced by FaceofMalawi indicate that Church of Central African Presbyterian (CCAP) of Livingstonia Synod has failed to resolve the leadership wrangles rocking former ruling People’s Party (PP) resulting to the formation of two blocks.

Since former President Dr. Joyce Banda left the country for self-imposed exile after being booted out of State house through the May 20 2014 tripartite elections, the Party has been faced with lot of challenges one of it being leadership wrangles.

The issue came to write when PP provincial chair for the North Christopher Mzomera Ngwira declaring former Vice President Khumbo Hastings Kachale as Interim President replacing Joyce Banda, the move which was trashed by the Party.

Few days letter, Banda appointed Uladi Mussa as Interim leader a move which did not please some PP supporters led by Mzomera.

Mzomera Ngwira vowed to rally behind Kachali and bring down Uladi, saying he is an intruder who has come to destroy the Party.

The development led to the formation of two camps with the other one being led by Uladi Mussa while the other one supporting Kachale led by Mzomera Ngwira.

The development forced the Livingstonia Synod to chip in to resolve the wrangle between the camps but to no avail.

Meanwhile the two camps do not see each other with an eye.
