Fees hiking in Malawi have now become an older of the day, suffering of poor, make the policy makers happy, the University of Malawi (UNIMA) has mastered it instead of championing graduates with dignity and intelligence is now busy nursing the people with enough financial stamina to access its services.

The recent development at UNIMA has witnessed such tenders of hammering the poor fellow Malawians as it has just out of blues increased its tuition fees for mature students, 2016/17 calendar.

According to following leaked memo dated May 12, 2016 from office of the University Registrar show that the Students be admitted in the 2016/17 academic year will be subject to this new fee change:   fees hike

Mature entry admitted to Chancellor College in Zomba will be required to pay k900, 000 tuition fees.

College of Medicine will charge 1.4 million; Kamuzu College of Nursing k1 million and Polytechnic fees is now at K950, 000.

Fees were at k275, 000 before the increase.

UNIMA spokesperson Peter Mitunda confirmed the adjustment and said that government should  not suppose to subside fees for mature entry students as mainly are from working class.

However, the development has already pulled tremendous commotion from different social networks users as the news is not yet landed on fellow ordinary Malawians who suffer a lot from such policy makers.
