A-29-year old witchdoctor is in police custody for allegedly collecting Mk410,000, promising to resurrect a dead girl.
Dowa Police spokesperson Richard Kaponda confirmed of the development in an interview with Nation newspaper.
Kaponda said the suspect identified as Filudi Smock tricked the family of Cheyo by asking them the said amount to have their daughter dead resurrected.
He said the family complied with the request but the doctor could fulfill his promises, hence the arrest.
Smock will appear in court soon to answer charges of pretending to tell fortunes which is in contrary to section 325 of the penal code.
