ESCOM linesman electrocuted in Nsanje

Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) linesman is reported dead in Nsanje after being electrocuted while on duty.
Police in Nsanje have confirmed of the development in an interview with the press and identified the deceased as George Pamawa.
It is said that the deceased touched the live wire as he was descending from the pole after finishing the maintenance work.
He was pronounced dead upon arrival at Nsanje District Hospital.
Meanwhile ESCOM officials are yet to comment on the matter.
