Phalombe District Council workers down tools over unpaid salaries: seals DC’s office

Information reaching FaceofMalawi indicates that workers at Phalombe district council have today started a sit-in demanding their three months’ salary.

According to information at hand, the workers have sealed the DC’s office and the main entrance to the premises.

Eyewitness who rushed to the scene said at the moment workers are just hovering outside the DC’s officer and others are playing ‘bawo’ and other sporting activities.
