Man arrested for defiling biological daughter in Kasungu for rituals

A 42-year old man is in Police custody in Kasungu for allegedly defiling his own 16-year old biological daughter.

Police in Kasungu have confirmed of the development in a statement made available to faceofmalawi, saying the incident happened on Friday, April 29, 2016 in Mbatata village, Sub Traditional Authority Mphomwa in Kasungu district.

According to Police, the wife of the suspect (Yohani Sato), who is the step mother of the victim caught the suspect red handed doing the act and later she reported the case to Kasungu Police Station.

The suspect was arrested immediately and has been charged with Incest which is contrary to Section 157 of the Penal Code.

The suspect will appear before court soon when inquiries are completed.

Sato comes from Mbatata village, Sub Traditional Authority Mphomwa in Kasungu district.
