A daughter to Dr. Kumwenda is reported dead in the capital Lilongwe after taking poisonous liquid meant to kill termites.
According to information posted on Billy Mayaya’s facebook page seen by FaceofMalawi reporter indicates that Dr. Dr Kumwenda who reside in area 25 in the capital went to to Nsungwi Market where he bought a bottle of poisonous liquid chemical meant for killing termites.
He then kept the bottle in his vehicle behind the driver’s seat.
On Sunday, Mr Kumwenda went out with his daughter and put her behind the driver’s seat where he had kept the poisonous stuff.
Later the child took the bottle, opened it and drank the stuff.
The father discovered it after strong smell in the vehicle.
The helpless Dad tried to give her milk and the daughter started vomiting immediately and she was rushed to Area 25 to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
