Ugly face of abortion in Kasungu: Lab Technician commits suicide

Lab Technician at Kasungu District Hospital has committed suicide by injecting himself with lethal injection after he realized that the girl he had told to abort pregnancy has died due to complications.

Kasungu Police Spokesperson Edina Mzingwisa has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press and identified the deceased as Mr. Lloyd Salimu.

According to Mzingwisa, the deceased was in relationship with his 15 year old house maid identified as Juliet Phiri and she impregnated her.

Mzingwisa said then the deceased thought of covering up the mess by ordering the maid to have an abortion.

However the abortion resulted in complications and the girl died.

“Seeing that the girl has died, Salimu also took his life,” said Mzingwisa.
