Members of Parliament, especially from the opposition, have forced first deputy speaker Esther Chilenje to adjourn the House due to misunderstandings on the General Purpose Advance loan.
The development comes barely hours after the MPs threaten to shoot down the 2016/17 national budget if the loan is not granted to them, saying its part of their condition of service.
The parliamentarians have warned that they will only continue with deliberations if Finance Minister Goodall Gondwe makes a statement.
