Kasambara’s judgment on Mphwiyo’s shooting case to be beamed live on Times TV

High Court Judge Michael Mtambo has granted Times TV rights to beam live the judgment in the case in which former Minister of Justice Ralph Kasambara SC and McDonald Kumwembe who are being co accused of conspiring to murder former Malawi budget director Paul Mphwiyo.

The development follows and an application made by Times TV to have the case beamed live as was the case with the murder case involving South African athlete Oscar Pistorius.

In his ruling, Nyirenda gave the restrictions that Times TV should cover live in court when the judge enters the courtroom until when he will finish reading his judgment on the case.

Kasambara was found with a case to answer, while Manondo and Kumwembe were found with conspiracy to commit murder.

Meanwhile Malawians have welcomed the move taken by Mtambo, saying this will help many Malawians to follow the judgment.
