Sana Cash ‘n’ Carry Shop employees on strike over ‘shop selling’

Employees of Sana Cash ‘n’ Carry Shop at Ginnery Corner in Blantyre have locked in the shop owner for selling the shop to Food Kings without the knowledge of the employees.

It is understood that about six Sana shops in Blantyre have been closed. These include, Alibaba, Sana Victoria avenue, Limbe, Sana at old Kandodo Corner shop and Sana Kameza shop.

Workers were only told about the development today. They have since closed the gate to the Ginnery Corner shop and are demanding that they be paid their gratuity which dates back to six years ago.
