Its hoax: Sylvester Stallone ‘Rambo’ never came to Malawi

As news of Sylvester Stallone, Hollywood actor being in the country for tourism adventure is slowly fading away, FaceofMalawi can reveal that the actor was not in the country.

Last week, social media reports indicated that the movie director popularly known as Rambo jetted in Malawi and went straight to Likoma, spackling debate among Malawians.

But information sourced by this publication indicates that on Monday the actor was in Michigan in America attending an event.

On Monday evening the 70 year-old actor was also spotted having dinner with his wife and two daughters in Hollywood, according to United Kingdom’s Daily Mail.

According to published reports, the man who is being touted as Rambo sported in the country on the said day just resembled Stallone.

He is well known for his Hollywood action roles, namely boxer Rocky Balboa, the title character of the Rocky series’ seven films from 1976 to 2015; soldier John Rambo from the four Rambo films, released between 1982 and 2008.

Stallone’s film Rocky was inducted into the National Film Registry as well as having its film props placed in the Smithsonian Museum.

In 1977, Stallone was nominated for two Academy Awards for Rocky, Best Original Screenplay and Best Actor.
