Kamlepo elected Secretary General of African Public Accounts Committee

Controversial Rumphi East Member of Parliament Kamlepo Kalua who is also opposition People’s Party (PP) third Vice President for the north has been elected as Deputy Secretary General of African Public Accounts Committees of all African Parliaments in Africa (AFRIPAC).

Kalua was appointed on the position on Thursday during a meeting held in Nairobi, Kenya.

The controversial MP who is also Vice Chairperson of the of the Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee recently made headlines on the social media after he openly challenged President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to release the names of Cabinet Ministers implicated in the MK236 billion cashgate scandal or resign as President.

Kamlepo argued that Mutharika is shield some of the Ministers implicated in the scam because most of them are his friends.

In reaction, President Mutharika trashed the claims, saying he is not shielding any Cabinet Minister and that he is not having any documents that contain names of government official implicated in the scam.

Mutharika went further by asking Kalua to feed him with the names of those rotten Cabinet Ministers or shut up forever.
