A woman dies of hunger in Blantyre, leaves 8 months old daughter

The sudden death always raises several questions in every mind of people behind, so as on Thursday, last week when a woman found dead in her house.

Without any medical report on her sudden death, the community believes that she met her fate as she had nothing to eat and to breast feed her 8 months daughter.

According to some residents in Nancholi, Blantyre, the woman, whose name is withdrawn, found dead at her home as she was breastfeeding while having little to eat.

Despite the deceased was working at one of water kiosk in the area, but her salary could not support a family of 5 due to economic crisis in this country where everything is very expensive.

The deceased had a husband who drinks excessively and pay little attention to his family responsibility.
