Driver of the minibus that killed Mzuni student arrested

Police in Mzuzu have arrested driver of the minibus that hit to death Mzuzu University (Mzuni) first year student Semu Solomon Banda.

Mzuzu Police Spokesperson Martin Bwanali confirmed of the development in an interview with the press and identified the suspect as Musa Gama.

According to Bwanali, the driver handed himself to the Police and has since been charged with causing death by reckless driving.

The minibus was set ablaze by angry Mzuzu University (Mzuni) students on the same day in full view of the Police.

Gama hails from Chimala village, Traditional Authority (T/A) Nyambi in Machinga.
