MANEB denies releasing 2016 MSCE examination results

Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) has urged the general public to disregard the statement hovering in the social media indicating the that the body has released the 2016 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations, saying the statement is false.

On Tuesday, the social media was a watched with a statement indicating that MANEB has released 2016 Malawi School certificate Education results.

The statement alleged that out of 453449 candidates who sat for the examinations 209,444 candidates passed representing 47.29% pass rate.

The statement went further alleging that out of 197,222 internal candidates who sat for the examinations, 69,587 candidates passed representing a 25.31%.

Writing on his official Facebook Page, MANEB Public Relations Officer Simeon Maganga rejected the statement.

“We have NOT YET released any of 2016 examination results. We shall make an official announcement once the results are out.

“Take note that MANEB has only this account
www.facebook.com/MANEBMalawi as its official Facebook page; hence, disregard what our imitators may post,” reads the statement.

Meanwhile it is not known as to when the board will release the 2016 MSCE examination results.
