Mob Justice refuses to die in Malawi

Despite the government of Malawi condemn the mob justice, incidents are still on its rise in the country.

Earlier this week in Nsanje, an angry mob at Phokera in the area of Chief Mbenje in the lower shire district beat to death a suspected.

Nsanje Police relations officer Sergeant Agness Zalakoma identified the deceased as Ruo Dayo of M’nembe village.

Acoording to Sergeant Zalakoma, Dayo allegedly stole cash amounting to k400,000 in the house of businessman at Phokera Trading Centre on Monday and was caught.

“ The angry villagers beat and stabbed him before we managed to save him but he was pronounced dead upon arrival at Phokera health Centre,” Zalakoma said.
