Missing albino Secondary school student found

Masongola Secondary School student, who was feared to have been abducted, has been found.

The Form One student, Overton Mike, born with albinism, was reported missing on Saturday.

According to Eastern Region Police spokesperson Inspector Joseph Sauka, the 17 year-old student was found Monday at a friend’s house at Matawale Township within Zomba.

Sauka said the boy was not abducted or kidnapped in any form as he was at a friend’s house and is in good health.

“The boy has since been sent back to School after counseling and as Police, we are assuring the general public including those living with albinism that we are doing everything possible to provide maximum security to all and no-one should live in fear,” said Sauka.
