Mzuzu Councillor arrested for defiling 3 pie-eyed girls

The Councilor for Chibanja Ward in Mzuzu, Charles Mlogera is reported to have been arrested for allegedly defiling three girls on Saturday night.

Mzuzu Police spokesperson, Martin Bwanali has confirmed the arrest in a statement.

Mlogera and three went to beer joints in the City, he then bought them beer, and later took then to a lodge where he allegedly defiled them.

One of the girls is in Standard 7, and is 14 years old, while the other two are 15 years old each.

However, the arrest has pulled attention from  social networks who are arguing that this is not defilement as girls went to drinking joint with a councillor in casual way that ended up in consent sexual intercourse.
