Wandale receives hero’s welcome in Thyolo

The leader of Peoples Land Organization (PLO), Vincent Wandale was on Thursday given a hero’s welcome when he made a triumphant entry into his home district, Thyolo, few days after being released from Chichiri Prison.

People from all parts of Thyolo thronged Khonjeni to welcome Wandale.

Speaking to people who welcomed him, Wandale informed them that PLO is now a political party and the Party will contest in 2019 general elections.
Wandale further told his followers that he will continue pressing for land rights in the country.

“Yesterday i talked to PLO members for the first time since my release from jail. I was warmly welcomed.

“We agreed to downgrade our self determination demand to federation because of the wide support we are getting from across Malawi as leaders in the land struggle. Our party will contest in 2019 general elections,” wrote Wandale on his official facebook page.
