lightning caused due o heavy rains

A 35 year old man is reported dead in Mbayani Township in the commercial capital Blantyre after being struck by lightening.

The incident happened on Saturday afternoon at Mbayani market.

It is said that the deceased identified as Christopher Bahuwa was coming from Church and when the rains started he sought shelter in a Barbershop near Mbayani Primary school where he met his fate.

He was then rushed to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH)where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
