Msonda dumped after DPP’s Masintha ground rally

Former People’s Party (PP) Spokesperson and Administrative Secretary Ken Msonda has denied reports hovering on the social media that he was denied transport by the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) after the Masintha ground rally.

Msonda’s remarks come following a picture that has gone viral on social media especially facebook showing former PP member boarding a bus.

The picture has attracted criticism from all corners with others describing it as a shame to Msonda who has moved from PP to DPP for personal gain.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Brian Banda on Times radio, Msonda quashed the claims, saying picture in question is not for the Masintha rally.

“I indeed boarded a bus, but it was in 2014 during campaign period, and it was at Wenela bus depot in Blantyre via Mzuzu not Lilongwe,” said Msonda.

Turning to his political ambition in 2019, Msonda hinted that he will contest as Member of Parliament for Rumphi East a constituent currently under Kamlepo Kalua who is PP’s Third Vice President for the North.

When asked as to whether he has been hired by the DPP to fight Kalua, Msonda quashed the claims, saying that is not true.
