First Lady, “Gertrude Muntharika” Gets In As President of the Organisation of African First Ladies Against HIV/AIDS (OAFLA)

The first lady, Getrude Muntharika has taken over the position of the President of the Organization of African First Ladies against HIV/AIDS (OAFLA) from Her Excellency Lordina Dramani Mahama, former first lady of Ghana who left the position following the results of the recent Presidential election in Ghana.

This is as per the provisions of the Rules and Procedures of OAFLA section 4, Article 15-F.

Muntharika humbly accepted to take over the position as it is a step ahead from vice president of OAFLA and now to the position of President.

The Malawi`s first lady is expected to control the position up until the next election, later this year
