Police in Mangochi have arrested Adam Chiwanda who is the Director of Al Mahaba PVT School for running the school without being registered and keeping the children in unlawful manner and in harsh conditions.
Reports to the matter says that Chiwanda aged 30 demanded money from parent`s children learning at the school with claims that the money was to be used to travel to south Africa for further education.
It is also reported that the Director, Chiwanda was keeping in the same room 5 boys and 4 girls for unknown reason, an issue that made well-wishers to tip the Mangochi welfare who also forwarded the matter to the police.
It is said the suspect has been in these tricks for a long time and he previously operated unregistered schools in Ntcheu and at Mangochi turn off.
The suspect will soon appear in court for the charges of theft by trick and operating unregistered school.
Chiwanda comes from Machinga district.
