MAYOR FOR LILONGWE CITY REFUSES TO KICK VENDORS OUT OF THE STREETS

Despite government`s call that vendors should be kicked out of the streets, the new Mayor  for Lilongwe city has pointed out not to throw vendors out of the streets until they are given a special place for trading.

In his speech, Desmond Bikoko said there is a need to find a good place where vendors can be trading from saying it is unfair to remove them from the streets without placing them to an alternative place to trade from.

For a long time now vendors have been accused of littering the city and hand picking from people`s` pockets
