THAWALE LODGE NOW UNDER SUNBIRD TOURISM

The leading name in Malawi`s tourism Sunbird is delighted  to announce that from today it will be managing Thawale Lodge and the Mwembezi Restaurant in Majete wildlife reserve.

Sunbird Thawale lodge, previously known as Thawale lodge now has 7 tented chalets planted within Majete around a serene floodlit waterhole that attracts different ranges of wildlife.

The ten year contract that Sunbird sealed with African parks will enable Sunbird to transform Thawale lodge into an International standard and attract even more tourists around the world to this exceptional place.

As if Thawale lodge is not enough, Sunbird tourism has also added Mwembezi Restaurant located close to the entrance gate of majete under its management.

The restaurant among other things, serves full menu of light snacks, it provides traditionally served dishes as well as westernized meals and offers a relaxing and attractive dining experience.

Sunbird tourism stands in the forefront in Malawi for providing luxurious and comfortable hotels that are strategically positioned around the warm heart of Africa, Malawi including lakeshore and highland areas.

Majete Wildlife Reserve is a unique conservation and tourist destination for all visitors. African Parks took over management 2003, at a point when the reserve was deviod of animals and unprotected. It is now a thriving Big 5 Reserve home to over 10,000 animals. The amazing success story of recovery and restoration and the continued protection of endangered species have led Majete to become one of the most popular reserves in Malawi.

Majete Wildlife Reserve is situated in the lower Shire valley in the South West of Malawi, approximately 70km – (one and a half hour’s drive) from Blantyre’s Chileka international airport and three hours from Lake Malawi.
