Police in Kasungu yesterday arrested Edwin Chaseta, a teacher at Mkanakhothi Primary School for allegedly murdering a son of a head teacher of the same school.

The incident occurred on March 26, 2017 at around 1600 hours at Mkanakhothi Trading Centre in the district.

According to Kasungu Police Public Relations Officer Edna Mzingwitsa, the suspect was drinking beer together with his fellow teachers at a bar where the deceased, William Mwandira, 21, also joined them however the suspect was annoyed with his presence and kicked out the deceased’s bottle of beer.

“The suspect did this because he is allegedly not in good relation with the deceased father, the head teacher.
