Woman Arrested for Causing Grievous Wounds on Husband By Pouring Him Hot Water

A 25 year old man identified as James Nkhata has now spent a week in hospital following wounds caused by his furious wife after she poured hot water on him.

The wife, a 23 year old Memory Mlenga caused serious injuries on her husband by pouring him with hot water after had they had a family quarrel.

On March 24, the two had a fight that made the wife to go to the kitchen and bring hot water that she used to shower it on her husband`s body.

Nkhata cried in pains while alerting neighbours who came for help.

People who came to his rescue searched for the wife but she was nowhere to be found since she had already fled from the place at that particular time.

One of the onlookers thought of reporting the matter to Nkhotakota Kaombe police roadblock in fear that the woman could have been bitten if found by the people who felt sorry for the victim.

In response, the police went to the scene and took the victim to the hospital.

The following day, the wife was apprehended for grievously wounding her husband.

Both the husband and the wife hail from Mtumbula village, Traditional Authority Mphonde in Nkhotakota.
