Information sourced by FaceofMalawi indicates that the Malawi Police Service (MPS) has fired a female police officer over her leaked nude photos.
Head of Human Resources at Police headquarters in Lilongwe has confirmed of the development in a statement seen by FOM’s reporter, saying Constable Esther Chiundiza has been relieved of her duties with effect from March 29, 2017.
According to the statement, Chiundiza has been ordered to hand over all government properties handed to her.
Earlier this month, Chiundiza was interdicted pending disciplinary action on the matter.
“The interdiction from duty on half pay is with effect from March 4, 2017 pending completion of a disciplinary case of conduct to the prejudice of good order and discipline contrary to section 52(1) schedule 23 of the Police Act,” reads in part the statement.
Social media especially facebook was recently a washed with nude photos of Constable Chiundiza while at Police Training School (PTS) in Limbe.
According to reports, Constable Chiundiza who was posted to Chileka Police Station had a secret affair with one of the Senior Police Officers during training.
It is alleged that she sent the pictures to his secret lovers who was caught with the pictures by his matrimonial wife who later leaked the nude photos.
