Steven is one of the six children from a Muslim family of Mr and Mrs Kassim.
Upon completion of secondary school education at Malosa Secondary School in Zomba, he decided to join the Catholic Church a thing which he did. To crown it all, Steven received the Sacrament of Confirmation in July 2012.
He underwent a one year spiritual formation at Kasina Spiritual Formation Centre in Dedza. This is a place established by the Catholic Bishops where young men prepare themselves to enter the Major Seminary of Saint Anthony popularly known as Kachebere in Mchinji.
He is now at Kachebere Major Seminary pursuing studies to priesthood. And on Saturday April 1, 2017 Steven put on the cassock for the first time.
Steven is from the Small Christian Community of Saint Martin under Nsanama Parish in Mangochi Diocese.
Steven is also a volunteer working for Radio Maria Malawi.
