Woman Plans To Take Legal Action Against Chelsea Star “Fabregas” Who Hit Her Child`s Head With a FootBall, thought to have sustained brain damage

A baby was rushed to hospital and checked for brain damage after being hit by a football during a park kickabout involving Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas.

Victoria Diethardt, 29, said six-month-old son Mark was hit in the head by the ball in Belgrave Square Gardens, west London.

He then underwent a scan in hospital after medics said there was a possibility he may have sustained brain damage.

Mrs Diethardt said the accident took place last Sunday while she and her child were sitting near Fabregas, his partner Daniella Semaan and their children, who were playing with a ball.

She told The Sun her ‘little ray of sunshine’ was ‘shaking’ after the incident and claims a hospital report diagnosed him with a ‘minor head injury and concussion’.

Mrs Diethardt said Fabregas apologised to her before retrieving the ball and added Ms Semaan spoke to her and gave her their phone number.

She told The Sun: ‘She looked at my son and said ‘I’m sure he’ll be all right’ — but I wonder how she’d have felt if it was her baby?

‘She insisted one of her daughters had kicked the ball – not her partner. She said she’d call me that evening to see how Mark was — but I heard nothing.’

Mrs Diethardt, originally from Austria, said she remains ‘frantic’ about her son’s health and has been told to observe him for 48 hours before taking him back to a GP for more tests.

She added she planned to take legal action against the Chelsea footballer, who is thought to earn more than £150,000 per week, to pay for the medical bills.

Ms Diethardt added: ‘Fabregas is wealthy enough to pay for private health checks for my son. If they show he’s been damaged, Fabregas should pay for the rest of his life.’

A spokesman for the footballer told The Sun Ms Semaan’s daughter kicked the ball ‘not hard’ and that they both ‘apologised profusely’ afterwards and have tried to contact Ms Diethardt to check on her son’s welfare.

As reported by MailOnline, Fabregas and his partner welcomed a newborn son last week.

The footballer appeared besotted with his child and announced the birth on Instagram.

He wrote: ‘Tuesday night we welcomed our gorgeous boy, Leonardo Fàbregas Semaan to the world.

‘A special Thank You to @daniellasemaan my love, for everything you have given me and being the bravest women on earth.

‘I love you so much. Both mummy and baby are doing amazing.’

Leonardo is Fabregas’ third child with his wife but his first son who will join sisters, Lia and Capri in the family.

Semaan also has a son and daughter from a previous marriage with millionaire businessman Elie Taktouk.
