JB’s younger sister arrested in connection to Chilima’s fake resignation letter

Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that Police in Blantyre have arrested younger sister and Personal Assistant to former Malawi President Joyce Banda for allegedly having a hand in the fake resignation letter of the country’s vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima.

The suspect has been identified as Mrs Cecelia Kumpukwe who resides in Chigumula Township in the commercial capital.

According to an eyewitness who opted for anonymity said, the suspect is currently being taken to Lilongwe for questioning.

The arrest of Kumpukwe comes barely days after the police also arrested another suspect identified as Stella Assan.

Assan is also being accused of having a hand on the fake letter.

Banda’s spokesperson Andekuche Chanthunya confirmed of the arrest in an interview with the press.
