Son Kills Father, Suspected He Bewitched Him To Get Rich

A suspect identified as Peter Frederick is in police custody for killing his own biological father whom he suspected to have bewitched him to get rich.

Peter who is aged 21 killed his 40 year old father Frederick Jeulani on Saturday. Mchinji police spokesperson, Kaitano Lubrino has confirmed.

Police established that the suspect who is epileptic has for so long been complaining about his sickness and faulted his father to have used him for ritual to acquire wealth.

Hence that belief, Peter had been looking for any possible way to revenge his father.

“On the day of this incident, the father was in his room when Peter sneaked in with an axe which he used to hack the victim four times on his left neck,” said Kaitano.

Due to severe damage he died on the spot.

The suspect later took himself to Kapiri Police Unit in the district while the body of his father was referred to Kapiti Mission Hospital.

After examining, results showed that the death was caused by severe loss of blood due to soft tissue injury.

Peter Fredirick comes from Kiliati village in the area of Traditional Authority Dambe in Mchinji.

He is therefore expected to appear in court soon to face murder charges.
