Two suspected thieves beaten severely by angry mob after stealing cell phones during a wedding in LL

Two suspected thieves have been beaten nearly to death by angry mob in area 12 in the capital Lilongwe after stealing two mobile phones at wedding ceremony.

The incident happened on Saturday, May 13 2017.

It is said that the two suspected thieves joined the wedding team from church and pretended to be relative.

“After stealing the phones they left the venue.

Fortunately people noticed they had lost phones,” said the source in an interview with faceofmalawi reporter.

According to the source, some of the relatives and well-wishers launched a manhunt for the two and managed to apprehend at bus deported.
“They were pulled out of the minibus and found with the two phones.

“They were grabbed back to the venue beaten up before being handed over to police,” added the source.
