Mob Justice Still At Work ; Another Suspected Thief Burnt in Chileka

Another suspected thief has been burnt to death by Chileka residents in Blantyre after he invaded a pastor`s house in wee hours of Sunday.

The victim identified as Chifundo Antonio, went to steal at a pastor`s house and ended up being caught after the Evangelical Church Pastor, Paul Kachembere  noticed something unusual and called for people’s help.

Speaking with Face of Malawi, Chileka police station spokesperson Grace Mwale said, “People around the neighborhood got a call for help and he was caught and set ablaze by the community members.”

Postmortem results showed that the death was due to serious burns and head injuries.

Antonio was from Kadewere village, Traditional Authority Kadewere in Chiradzulu.

Meanwhile, police is still advising people to resist from mob justice since it is their duty to deal with such people whenever they are found.
