Police recovers 440 live ammunitions in Dedza, suspect arrested

Police in Dedza have arrested Chengetani Kambuzi after he was found with 440 live ammunitions and an explosive weighing 5kgs.

Dedza Police spokesperson confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).

The police got a tip that Chengetani was keeping a gun and the ammunitions in his house.

The police followed the tip and a search was conducted in his house and the ammunitions plus the explosive were found.

Meanwhile investigations are underway to trace the source.

The police are calling upon members of the public to continue sharing useful information with the police to arrest criminals.

Chengetani Kambuzi 25 comes from Kunjawa village in the area of Traditional Authority Kachere in Dedza.
