Two PP top officials resign

Information sourced by Faceofmalawi indicates that two senior member of the former ruling People’s Party (PP) have dumped the party and joined Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and Umodzi Party (UP).

According to information at hand, former Minister in the administration of former President Joyce Banda, Halima Daudi has dumped PP and joined Malawi Congress Party (MCP).

While former Administrative Secretary of Peoples Party, Reverend Peter Kaleso has joined the Umodzi Party.

The resignation of the two comes barely weeks after former Vice President Khumbo Kachali also announced his resignation, saying he is agitating on forming his own party.

Effort to talk to PP spokesperson Noah Chimpeni on the matter proved futile.
