The guidelines which were issued by the Ministry of Public Service warns against erring workers who do not comply and to all non-uniformed civil servants.

Female workers have been told not to show any cleavage, wear bright colour braids or hair extensions, sleeveless blouses or any clothing made out of see-through material. Men must wear long-sleeve shirts, jackets and ties, and loose trousers.

Women were advised to wear dresses and skirts that fall below the knee although they are allowed to wear pant-suits.

The circular which was culled from Public Service Standing Order on dress code further states that accessories should be modest, and women should not have bright hair colour, braids or extensions.
