Two people killed in road accident in Salima

Two people died on Wednesday after a bicycle they were traveling on got hit by a minibus along the Kamuzu Road in Salima.

The Two identified as Black Feya and Moses Stefano died on the spot after sustaining serious injuries.

Feya who was 40 years of age came from Tisauka village T/A Kalonga, while Stefano was aged 70 came from Katsichi Village T/A Kambwiri both in Salima district.

According to Police Officer-in-Charge, Deputy Commission of Police (DCP) Edward Chingaipe the two met their fate while they were trying to make a U-turn inside the main road.

“According to eyewitnesses, the bicycle was making a U turn inside the road while the minibus was near-by and it ended up hitting them as the driver had no time to avoid them,” said Chingaipe.
