Two people including an Indian national are in police custody for allegedly murdering Mr Tareq Muhamad a Banglee national on August 9 2017 in the capital Lilongwe.
Police in the capital Lilongwe have confirmed the development in a statement made available to the press and have identified the suspects as Sarfraj Malek an Indian and Sylvester Masanjala of Nang’ombe village T/A Chimaliro Thyolo.
According to the police, the two were arrested through the intelligence info police gathered from well-wishers.
The police have recovered K1,896,400.00 from the second suspect which was hidden on the hole that he made in one of the room in his house.
The two will appear in court soon to answer murder charges.
