A 25-year-old woman identified as Ellen Moses has been killed by a furious crocodile on Friday in Liwonde.
It is reported that on that fateful day, the deceased had gone to the shire river to fetch some water and she was attacked while in the process of drawing the water.
Communities discovered her body on the same day after a search was launched.
Medical results revealed that the death was due to loss of blood and suffocation.
Police have advised the people who stay near the shire river to resist from drawing water in the crocodile infested places.
Moses was from Chasuchira village, Traditional Authority Nsamala in Balaka.
