Standard Bank Customer Smashes an Auto Teller Machine in Lilongwe, Says it Swallowed his ATM Card (See Photo)

A 47-year-old standard bank pissed off customer has found himself a way to jail after smashing an auto teller machine because it swallowed his ATM card while trying to with draw the cash.

Police have identified him as Foster Mwenefumbo who committed the offence yesterday in Lilongwe.

Reports say that during that day, the suspect went to a standard bank ATM machine which is situated at PTC Spar superstore at city Centre in Lilongwe.

But after placing his ATM card, the machine swallowed the card and the situation pissed him off since the money he was trying to withdraw was for immediate use.

Following the anger, the man used his hand to break the machine and later police came in and arrested him.

The suspect Mwenefumbo hails from Uliwa in the area of Traditional Authority Wansambo in Karonga district.
